connect in with your personal, collective & intergenerational wisdoms through counselling & psychotherapy that is spirit-led, client-centered, and therapist-guided.

offering culturally neutral, iyiniwak best practices in counselling and psychotherapy.

at ᒪᐢᑭᐦᑭᕀ maskihkiy wellness, all of our clinicians are trained in Indigenous Focusing-Oriented Therapy. we honour and appreciate the diversity of the manitowak (spirit beings, i.e., people) who we serve, and offer iyiniwak (Indigenous peoples') approaches to psychotherapy in a culturally neutral way that honours your intersecting identities, your beliefs, your cultural practices, and your vision for living well. our clinicians guide a therapeutic process that supports you in (re)connecting with the medicines & wisdoms that already live in & around you as a whole, interconnected being. our work is client-centered, and will always prioritize what you wish to get out of therapy. our clinicians are also trained in conventional approaches to therapy through their formal clinical training, and may draw on these approaches as requested by you, or as it best fits the therapeutic process.

all peoples

while ᒪᐢᑭᐦᑭᕀ maskihkiy was founded from a need for genocide-informed, culturally relevant, historically sensitive services by & for iyiniwak (Indigenous peoples) of Turtle Island, we recognize that conventional therapeutic approaches do not work for many people of many backgrounds & communities. we provide counselling & services for peoples of all ancestral & ethnocultural backgrounds.

individual & collective

we serve all ages across the lifespan, working with individuals, people in relationships, families, groups, communities, & organizations through our therapeutic work. we welcome communities & organizations who are seeking collective wellness to see our healing retreats, workshops, consultation & other programming options.
